Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We reuse any and all materials whenever we can. We recycle water used to cool parts as they come out of ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and turn them into new shutters. We recycle hundreds of tons of materials every year.

When we package our window treatments to be transported to your house for installation, we insert reusable corner pieces on the edges of louvers and use the least amount of cardboard to box up the shutters.

Our plantation shutters are coated with patented paints that are shown to be environmentally safe and hypoallergenic. In our manufacturing process, our paints don’t emit fumes. When we claim our paints are safe, we mean it.
